This olive oil is very good, but we could not figure out how to open the bottle. Finally cut the screw cap free with a box cutter, but still wouldn’t pour out, so we had to cut off all four parts of the plastic cap. We can’t begin to figure out how it was supposed to work. Please post instructions for how to open this bottle!

Every summer I fry up some green tomatoes. I used to use vegetable oil to fry them in, but one day I had everything setup and ready to go when I realized I was out of oil. So I grabbed my bottle of the Mission spring harvest and used that instead. Not only was it a healthier choice, but it was DELICIOUS! I have been using it since!

This stuff can completely replace butter when preparing quite a few things. In my experience, toasting bread in a pan with this oil actually outperforms real butter by tasting better and being less soggy. Also, olive oil is obviously far more healthy for you than butter is.
The only real downside in my opinion when comparing this to butter, is price. Buy a smaller container first to test it. You’ll probably end up regretting that though, as I did. I ran out too fast. 🙂
Most olive oils taste the same to me, but this stuff stands apart from the rest. Thumbs up to the Sciabica family.

This is our favorite brand and type of oil, from dipping, cooking to butter substitute like popcorn. We bought it by the gallon until they discontinued that quantity. 🙁 The price for a gallon was the best deal as we’d easily use it within 6-8 months. It still seemed fresh after that period of time.

I first tried to toast this in a regular toaster on Rudi’s Spelt Bread, first lightly brushing the oil on the bread. That didn’t work at all, so I gave up. A couple of months later, inspiration grabbed me, and I put the bread in a skillet with the olive oil, right after sauteing mushrooms in olive oil. Voila! Crisp toast, toast flavor, and this olive oil is FANTASTIC on the skillet toast! Totally double yum! =^_______^=
I’ve been without buttered toast for over two decades, and now I get something even better, and even better for me. It’s like Christmas in July to have found this solution to buttered toast that I’d been missing for so very long!

Many years ago we saw this olive oil advertised on one of the food networks and decided to try it. I have to agree with Mr. Sciabica this is the best of all the oils. The flavor is so light and fresh that we use it for almost every thing in the kitchen where oils are used. We have given it to our grown children and they too agree that it is the best olive oil they have ever used. We plan to continue using it for many years to come so please don’t ever discontinue it.

I haven’t bought butter since I started getting this oil! It gives cakes and cookies a lighter taste and lets the true flavors of fresh veggies come out in sauteing. Not to mention it takes much less oil than butter for cooking.

I purchased two bottles of oil over the phone. Thier website was down for upgrades. They charged me for unfiltered oil, even the bottles said unfiltred, however the oil was filtered. Not happy with the service. The oil was good though .
