    For a real treat try frying a couple of eggs in this oil instead of butter. The outside edges get a little crispy, and you still have that buttery undertone. To die for! This oil is highly recommended!

    We’ve had wonderful compliments and rave reviews with our Dutch Oven potatoes, or even the meats that are cooked in this buttery favorite — all cooked over the coals on open fire. What a treat. We now use it exclusively in our bread machine as the sole oil component for perfect elastic bread with full butter flavor.

  4. 5 out of 5 Who needs butter?

    This stuff can completely replace butter when preparing quite a few things. In my experience, toasting bread in a pan with this oil actually outperforms real butter by tasting better and being less soggy. Also, olive oil is obviously far more healthy for you than butter is.

    The only real downside in my opinion when comparing this to butter, is price. Buy a smaller container first to test it. You’ll probably end up regretting that though, as I did. I ran out too fast. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Most olive oils taste the same to me, but this stuff stands apart from the rest. Thumbs up to the Sciabica family.

    This is the only olive oil I use. I add a little ground vanilla to it and let it sit before use. It makes a great tasting oil for just about everything. I buy it by the half gallon now.

  8. 3 out of 5 Good Oil, Can't Open Bottle

    This olive oil is very good, but we could not figure out how to open the bottle. Finally cut the screw cap free with a box cutter, but still wouldn’t pour out, so we had to cut off all four parts of the plastic cap. We can’t begin to figure out how it was supposed to work. Please post instructions for how to open this bottle!

    [SCIABICA RESPONSE: Sorry for any inconvenience! We are aware of the “not so great” caps that are hard to open. We are working with the manufacturer and hope to have the issue remedied soon. In the mean time, do not cut them off, they just take a lot of twisting pressure. In any case, we are happy to provide a replacement for bottle in which you are not 100% satisfied.     Every summer I fry up some green tomatoes. I used to use vegetable oil to fry them in, but one day I had everything setup and ready to go when I realized I was out of oil. So I grabbed my bottle of the Mission spring harvest and used that instead. Not only was it a healthier choice, but it was DELICIOUS! I have been using it since!

    This is the finest olive oil I have ever tasted. I use it in all of my baking in place of butter, just like my Italian Grandmother! Great for dipping and heart healthy too!

    This is our favorite brand and type of oil, from dipping, cooking to butter substitute like popcorn. We bought it by the gallon until they discontinued that quantity. ๐Ÿ™ The price for a gallon was the best deal as we’d easily use it within 6-8 months. It still seemed fresh after that period of time.

  12. 5 out of 5 Definitely forget missing butter! =^_^=

    I first tried to toast this in a regular toaster on Rudi’s Spelt Bread, first lightly brushing the oil on the bread. That didn’t work at all, so I gave up. A couple of months later, inspiration grabbed me, and I put the bread in a skillet with the olive oil, right after sauteing mushrooms in olive oil. Voila! Crisp toast, toast flavor, and this olive oil is FANTASTIC on the skillet toast! Totally double yum! =^_______^=

    I’ve been without buttered toast for over two decades, and now I get something even better, and even better for me. It’s like Christmas in July to have found this solution to buttered toast that I’d been missing for so very long!

    I purchased two bottles of oil over the phone. Thier website was down for upgrades. They charged me for unfiltered oil, even the bottles said unfiltred, however the oil was filtered. Not happy with the service. The oil was good though .

    I buy this by the gallon, and it keeps well – I use about 1 gallon in 6 months.

    The flavor is excellent and my family uses it for everything from salad dressing, dipping to cooking. It’s my favorite and recommend it to anybody.

    I have just fallen in LOVE with this yearly pressing. I love all of the home made products that the SCIABICA FAMILY proudly offers from their home to yours.

    I Have to stop writing this now but not without telling you that i have had many of the products the family puts out and you must not miss out on the home produced tomatoes.     Many years ago we saw this olive oil advertised on one of the food networks and decided to try it. I have to agree with Mr. Sciabica this is the best of all the oils. The flavor is so light and fresh that we use it for almost every thing in the kitchen where oils are used. We have given it to our grown children and they too agree that it is the best olive oil they have ever used. We plan to continue using it for many years to come so please don’t ever discontinue it.

    I haven’t bought butter since I started getting this oil! It gives cakes and cookies a lighter taste and lets the true flavors of fresh veggies come out in sauteing. Not to mention it takes much less oil than butter for cooking.

    This is the most fabulous olive oil I have ever tasted. I use it for everything! My husband has heart trouble and is on a low fat diet, but he can have this healthy olive oil. We can eat quite normally with this olive
